Departure - Jupiter to Schooner Bay

The morning of July 4th, our mechanic got us fixed up and we left the inlet at 8am.   We were blessed with calm flat seas on departure.

We arrived at West End for Customs Clearance.  It was nice to know we could clear quickly.  CJ got us in and out of there in 15 minutes.  We left him a bag a Chicken Wings and headed south toward Sandy Point.

It was a long ride from West End to Sandy.  Gillian and John kept me company most of the ride.  I learned a lot of Gillian's music as she insisted on NOT playing 80s and 90s on XM.  I didn't mind because it was a bit bumpy at times and I was trying to keep her mind off the waves.

After a lot of  Gillian: "how much longer" and my reply and Gillian :"OMG" we finally arrived at Sandy Point for a late lunch.  It was a beautiful spot and the whole snapper and cracked conch were worth the trip.

Unfortunately we were a bit rushed at lunch.  We still had a lot of water cover to get to schooner bay during daylight.  Next break from running .. Hole in the Wall.

As we approached Hole in the Wall (a place I've wanted to see for quite a few trips), the seas kicked up, but we slowed down to enjoy some of the scenery.

We made a bathroom stop and I decided to drop a Jig while we had some time. In 15 minutes, we landed some sushi and lost two jigs (one to something on the bottom (Grouper) and anoher that was a cutoff in the water column).  We were running late and couldn't continue fishing.. maybe we'll go back later in the week.

We finally arrived at Schooner Bay around 6pm.  Everyone was eager to get on land.

We were delighted with the house.  Gillian had her own bed and bath and the boys had their own room with bath and loft with TV and "best Internet connection ever".  The boat was docked right outside for easy unpacking.

After unpacking, a quick wash down, grilled cheese sangwhiches and some much needed beverage, we headed to the beach to cap off our long day with some fireworks.

We thought that would end our day, but our way back to our new home we noticed the sky.  I have never seen so many stars in my life. We laid on the grass for at least a couple hours enjoying what the sky had to offer.  No Pictures..  but there isn't a way for one to capture it.

Here is the track of our trip to Schooner Bay.
