Monday Gillian wanted to head to town. Her favorite place, Sugar Shack, had burned down this year. I don't think she believed us, but it was definitely closed when we went by. She is on the search for a new Sugar Fix on the island.
There was a new shop in town, Hope Town Canvas. They also rent bikes which the kids wanted to do. Its way too hot this year for bike riding.
Outside the shop there was a land crab getting the family's attention.
Its always a nice stroll through town (in the morning before it gets hot!). The lighthouse is visible for most of the walk.
We stopped in a couple gift shops (and I grabbed a beverage at Capt Jacks).
John is always on the lookout for something fashionable!
Gillian's new favorite phrase!
This is a spot on the Northern end of town overlooking the Sea of Abaco.
After picking up a pie at Vernon's I was able to talk everyone into heading to the boat for lunch. We headed to Lubber's Landing. We've never eaten there before so we thought something new would be worth a shot.
Of course John was a pro at the ring toss.
Brandy scored the best seats in the house. A comfortable table with a wonderful breeze. Its a good thing because it took over 2 hours to get our food! Everyone was getting Hangry!
The kids were fans of the Trump Shark.
After our long meal, we decided it was time to hit "Sand Dollar Bank".
The bank is on the Sea of Abaco side of Tilloo. It is shallow water which makes the color of the water awesome. Brandy found some live ones this year. We also saw a lot of small fish and small flounder.
We kept a handful of dead ones. Ok, the kids had more than a handful!
After an hour or so of diving, we relaxed on the water while a storm brewed.
Brandy and John got under the T-Top to get out of the rain.
The rest of us got a little wet at the helm.
We headed back after the storm to leftovers and another movie. A nice relaxing day!
